GWR Steam Heritage Centre          « Back  Next »

DEVELOPMENT OF THE FORMER SOUTHALL DIESEL DEPOT INTO A RAILWAY HERITAGE CENTRE :  Proposal for the Derelict diesel depot at Southall to be transformed to a GWR steam heritage centre for the charity – GWR Preservation Group. 
The scheme was presented to the Mayor of London, and the GLA, as well as the Local authority and MPs, Rail Track and First Trains for fund-raising and campaigning.  The charity has secured the site and modest funding for initial development and the project is developing as campaigning continues.
